Review

South Park is an animated series featuring four boys who live in the Colorado town of South Park. These are Cartman (who's overweight and sarcastic), Kyle (who dreams of eliminating his little brother Ike), Stan (who throws up at the sight of a girl he likes), and Kenny (who manages to get killed in every episode). All four attend South Park Elementary School where third grade teacher Mr. Garrison educates them with the use of a hand-puppet named "Mr. Hat" and cafeteria employee "Chef" McElroy dispenses his advice while periodically breaking into 70's love songs about making love to women.

South Park is the setting for numerous oddities such as alien visitors, a monster with a hand of celery and the leg of Patrick Duffy, and Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride. South Park also hosts a number famous people from time to time, such as the Devil, Saddam Hussein, the Antichrist, Kathy Lee Gifford, Scott Baio, Tina Yothers, Elton John, Paris Hilton, Jesus Christ - who has his own cable access show and a lot of other celebrities.

Review

This series is about Dr. John Becker, a dedicated and talented physician with a gruff exterior. Unfortunately, his interior isn't warm and fuzzy either. While he offend those around him who try to get close, he's extremely dedicated to his medical practice in the Bronx where he always went the extra mile to help those in need.

Becker looked at the world around him and saw a society gone mad, full of incongruities and had no problem about saying anything that came to his mind. Becker often unleashed his views at the local diner run by Reggie. Jake is the blind proprietor of the local newsstand. He's used to John and did his best to explain the "Becker phenomenon" to others, including Bob.

His head nurse, Margaret, made order out of his chaotic office and deals with both Becker and Linda.

Review

Eric Foreman was a nice if a bit geeky high school junior who hung out with his friends in the rural town of Point Place, Wisconsin, circa 1976. There was next-door neighbor Donna Pinciotti, the sensible, redheaded girl who was secretly in love with Eric. Steve Hyde was a smart-aleck wannabe hippie who saw government conspiracies in everything; and hunky but clueless Michael Kelso who was dating upscale, spoiled and snobby Jackie Burkhardt. Also a part of the gang was Fez, a foreign exchange student from an unknown country who had a way with the ladies.

Eric lived in a typical suburban home with his parents. Stern and rather humorless Red Foreman was working part time at the fast-growing Price Mart discount store after being laid off from the town’s main manufacturing plant; wife Kitty was a slightly off-center mom and part-time nurse. Also living at home was Red and Kitty’s college-age daughter Laurie, a young woman of dubious sexual virtue who never passed up an opportunity to get Eric into trouble. Red owned a Japanese Toyota Corolla, which like many Americans, bought in response to the energy crisis of a few years earlier. Eric ended up driving the family’s other car–a large, gas-guzzling Oldsmobile Vista-Cruiser station wagon. Eric and his friends usually hung out around the Vista-Cruiser, or in the Foreman basement, which contained old furniture, an avocado green Maytag washer-dryer and a outside door. It proved to be the perfect place to take a few “tokes” of pot.

Review

M*A*S*H was set in South Korea, near Seoul, during the Korean War. The series focused on the group of doctors and nurses whose job was to heal the wounded who arrived at this "Mobile Army Surgical Hospital" by helicopter, ambulance or bus. The hospital compound was isolated from the rest of the world. One road ran through the camp; a mountain blocked one perimeter and a minefield the other. Here the wounded were patched up and sent home--or back to the front.

The protagonists were Dr. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce and Dr. "Trapper" John McIntyre. Pierce and McIntyre were excellent surgeons who preferred to chase female nurses and drink homemade gin to operating and who had little, if any use for military discipline or authority. As a result, they often ran afoul of two other medical officers, staunch military types, Dr. Frank Burns and Senior Nurse, Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan. The camp commander, Lt. Col. Henry Blake, was a genial bumbler whose energies were often directed toward preventing Burns and Houlihan from court martialing Pierce and McIntyre. The camp was actually run by Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly, the company clerk who could spontaneously finish Blake's unspoken sentences and hear incoming helicopters before they were audible to other human ears. Other regulars were Corporal Max Klinger who, in the early seasons, usually dressed in women's clothing in an ongoing attempt to secure a medical (mental) discharge, and Father Francis Mulcahy, the kindly camp priest who looked out for an orphanage.

This half-hour comedy focuses on the bizarre experiences of fresh-faced medical intern John "J.D." Dorian as he embarks on his healing career in a surreal hospital crammed full of unpredictable staffers and patients.

Joining the rumpled J.D. in his exhilarating brave new world are his college buddy, Chris Turk, an intern with a more elite surgical group, and J.D.'s fellow medical intern, the beautiful and driven Elliot Reid. Keeping the new interns on their toes are: The fatherly chief of medicine, Dr. Bob Kelso; the abrasive, worldly Dr. Perry Cox, and the caring but slightly jaded nurse Carla Espinosa.
