Review

Set in Pasadena, California, the show is about two male Caltech prodigies in their 20s, one an experimental physicist (Leonard Hofstadter) and the other a theoretical physicist (Sheldon Cooper), who live across the hall from an attractive blonde waitress with show-biz aspirations (Penny). Leonard and Sheldon's 'geekiness' and sheer intellect are contrasted with Penny's social skills and common sense for comic effect. Two equally geeky friends of theirs are the smarmy Wolowitz, who thinks he's as sexy as he is brainy, and Koothrappali, who suffers from an inability to speak in the presence of a woman. It’s a funny sitcom which keeps getting better and better each week.

Two and a half men

Short description

I love this show! It's an amazing mix of dirty humour and amusing 'real life' situations. It's very enjoyable for a laugh and some fun! The entire show appears to be dedicated to making the audience laugh at the character's dilemmas and it is very amusing to see how everyone's situation entwines and makes into a large but hilarious plot. The entire cast is very amusing and their voices, attitudes, appearances and body language portray their characters to their full potential. They are now on there 7rd season and I hope they never stop.

Review

The show is about a hedonistic jingle writer, Charlie; his uptight brother, Alan; and Alan's young son, Jake. Charlie is a well-to-do bachelor with a house at the beach, a Jaguar in the front, and an easy way with women. Charlie's free-wheeling life is complicated and altered when his brother gets divorced and moves-in, along with his son.
There have been six seasons of Two and a Half Men, the seventh season is currently showing.

Review

The first episode was recorded on 7 September and broadcast on 5 October 1969 on BBC One, with 45 episodes airing over four series, plus two episodes for German TV.

The show often targeted the idiosyncrasies of British life and was at times politically charged. The members of Monty Python were highly educated with their comedy often pointedly intellectual by way of numerous references to philosophers and literary figures. It followed and elaborated upon the style used by Spike Milligan in his groundbreaking series Q5, rather than the traditional sketch show format. The team intended their humour to be impossible to categorise, and succeeded so completely that the adjective "Pythonesque" was invented to define it, and later, similar material.

The Pythons played the majority of the series characters themselves, including the majority of the female characters, but occasionally they required an extra actor.
